Background
Judge Susan Long was appointed to the 16th Circuit Court in 2015. She hears general civil and domestic, general crime and traffic assignments and was previously a family court commissioner. Judge Long received her B.A. and J.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Judge Long is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, the Eastern Jackson County Bar Association, the Association for Women Lawyers and The Missouri Bar. She also serves on the Jackson County Law Library board of directors. She volunteers with the Salvation Army, Community Service League, Calvary Community Outreach Network and the ALS Association, and is a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.
