Background
Hon. Susan Long was appointed as the first associate circuit judge of Division 34 of the 16th Judicial Circuit in 2015. Long’s judicial assignments include domestic cases, the circuit court arraignment docket, and a state traffic docket.
Long was previously Jackson County Family Court commissioner. Long graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1989.
Long is a member of the Supreme Court of Missouri Family Court Committee, Supreme Court of Missouri Committee on Access to Family Courts, Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, Eastern Jackson County Bar Association, and the Missouri Association of Probate and Associate Circuit Judges.
