Background
Judge Richard Stewart was appointed to the 21st Judicial Circuit in 2016. In this role, his judicial assignments have included associate criminal and civil matters. He is a member of the court’s criminal justice and surcharge committees and a participant in its truancy reduction program. Judge Stewart earned a B.S.B.A. from the University of Missouri-Columbia and J.D. from Saint Louis University.
Judge Stewart is a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the St. Louis Lawyers’ Association. He is active in Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, the Join Hands Boys’ Club, the Webster Groves High School Parents Club, the Nerinx Hall High School Fathers’ Club and the Holy Redeemer Athletic Association.
