Background

Judge Reno, who is currently assigned to St. Louis County’s Criminal Court, has served as associate circuit judge for St. Louis County since 2002. Prior to her appointment, she gained extensive experience in trying both civil and criminal cases as the senior trial attorney at the Hale Law Firm, and she served as the municipal judge for the City of Northwoods in St. Louis County. Judge Reno received her law degree from St. Louis University School of Law.

In addition to her service on the bench, Judge Reno is an active member of several bar associations that contribute to the overall success of the legal community. Judge Reno has also mentored both high school and college students.

Discussion

Judge Reno’s highest score was 3.90 for the categories of “treating people equally regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, economic status or any other factor” and “demonstrates appropriate demeanor on the bench. Judge Reno’s lowest score (3.19) was for the category concerning “competence in the law.”
