Background
Judge Michael J. Cordonnier was appointed as a circuit judge in 2008. In this role, his judicial assignments have included circuit civil cases and felony criminal and complex civil cases out of circuit by Supreme Court of Missouri assignment. He is presiding judge of the 31st Judicial Circuit and serves on the Presiding Judges’ Executive Committee. Judge Cordonnier earned a B.S. from the University of Missouri and a J.D. from the University of Tulsa.
Judge Cordonnier is a member of The Missouri Bar, the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association (SMBA), the Bench and Bar Committee of SMBA, the Supreme Court of Missouri Legislative Steering Committee, and the Advanced Science and Technology Adjudication Resource Center (ASTAR). In 2016, he served as president of the Missouri Circuit Judges’ Association and received a Judicial Excellence Award from SMBA.
Judge Cordonnier is involved in Christ Episcopal Church Foundation, Boy Scouts of America and Friends of the Zoo.
