Background
Judge Mary Elizabeth Ott was appointed circuit judge in February of 2018 after serving as an associate circuit judge since 2008. She received her undergraduate degree from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, IN, and her law degree from Saint Louis University’s School of Law.
Before her appointment to the bench, Judge Ott spent 22 years in private practice.
Since 2015, Judge Ott has served on the Supreme Court of Missouri’s Criminal Instructions and Rules Committee. In addition, she serves on several circuit court committees in St. Louis County.
Judge Ott is a member of The Missouri Bar, St. Louis County Bar Association, the Missouri Association of Probate & Associate Court Judges and the Women Lawyers’ Association.
