Background
Judge Joseph Dueker was appointed as circuit judge in the 21st District in 2016. He was previously an associate circuit judge and served in the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for more than 17 years. He was assigned to the office’s sexual assault team for more than 10 years and later served as associate chief trial attorney.
Judge Dueker earned his B.A., cum laude, in economics and history in 1989 from the University of Richmond. He earned a J.D. in 1992 from Saint Louis University School of Law.
Judge Dueker is a member of The Missouri Bar, the St. Louis County Bar Association and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (BAMSL). He volunteers with BAMSL’s Mock Trial Competition and the Special Needs Soccer Association, and he is a member of Christ, Prince of Peace Catholic Church, where he volunteers with the Sandwich Ministry.
