Background
Judge Jerry A. Harmison Jr. was appointed to the 31st Circuit in 2017. In this role, his judicial assignments have included general associate and criminal civil dockets. Judge Harmison earned a B.S.B.A. from the University of Central Missouri and J.D. from Drake University.
Judge Harmison is a member of The Missouri Bar, the Iowa State Bar Association and the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association. He is a graduate of the International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy. Judge Harmison is active in Springfield Public Schools, the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, Care to Learn, Rotary Club of Springfield Sunrise and King’s Way United Methodist Church. In 2016, he was recognized by the Springfield Business Journal.
