Background
Judge Janette K. Rodecap was appointed as associate circuit judge in May 2014. She previously served as a trial team leader in the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office.
Judge Rodecap graduated from Northwestern University summa cum laude in 1997 with a B.A. degree in European history and obtained her J.D. with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2001.
Judge Rodecap is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association; member and connections program mentor through the Association for Women Lawyers; member of the Western District Historical Society board of directors; master for Ross T. Roberts Trial Academy; and a member of the Supreme Court Trail Judge Education Committee.
