Background
Judge David Lee Vincent III was appointed to the 21st Circuit Court bench in November 1997. He received a B.S. in electrical engineering from Tennessee State University and a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He practiced law until his appointment to the bench, and served as an assistant circuit attorney from 1988 to 1993. Since his last retention election, Judge Vincent has presided over juvenile court, civil and felony criminal jury trials, equity cases and petitions for review. Judge Vincent spearheaded truancy reduction programs for St. Louis County public schools and is currently assigned to the Jennings School District. He has developed strategy notes (The Paige Notes) for use by high school students across Missouri in BAMSL’s mock trial competition and serves on St. Louis County Circuit Court Speakers’ Bureau.
Judge Vincent is a Missouri Bar Foundation Fellow and a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, Mound City Bar Association and St. Louis County Bar Association. He is active with Incarnate Word Church Adoration Chapel Ministry.
